As part of the Graduate Diploma in Meteorology, all students will need to complete this module of the course.
In the module, you will learn some basic chart analysis techniques of various weather observations, including METARs, SYNOPs, sonde flights, satellite imagery and radar imagery. You will also learn basic weather discussion skills, including basic terminology and format.
These skills will be practised throughout the module and you will be expected to continue to develop these skills throughout the remainder of the course.
This module assumes no prior meteorological knowledge, apart from standard course entry requirements.
