    The AWO Class B qualification is transitioning to the Aeronautical Meteorological Observer Competency (AMO Competency). This course page remains active to provide information to previously enrolled AWO Class B participants.

    Airservices Australia and RAAF personnel who were enrolled to undertake AWO Class B training have been enrolled in the new AMO Competency course.

    The course structure, reference content and assessment items have not changed. AWO Class B theory assessment passes have been carried over to the AMO Competency theory assessments.

    AMO Practical (Module 3) paperwork

    The AMO practical component paperwork (Module 3: Supervised Field Experience Report) has had some minor formatting changes. The paperwork is available for download from the AMO Competency course page, or via the link below.

    The completed paperwork shall be scanned and emailed to bmtc-awo@bom.gov.au with the subject title: AMO paperwork - participant name.
